De ti que enternecedores y bellos recuerdos tengo. Cuántas paladas y trentenas de panes cociste. Cuantas hambres habrás saciado. Te hiciste muy anciano; ya te edificaron los íberos. Cuanto ha llovido desde entonces. Tu uso era muy sencillo. Te calentabas con leña del monte sin cronometrar el tiempo; siempre fue todo a ojo. Al mismo tiempo sacaba el hornero panes cocidos y entraba otros para cocer. Salían panes color rosado y otros blanquecinos. Se aprendía su manejo con la práctica. El pan era buenísimo. Tenía varias hornadas o turnos cada dos horas</span><br /><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Times New Roman; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Los hombres que traían la leña para calentar y cocer el pan. Sus esposas eran las que contaban el pan antes de cocerlo. De cada treinta panes cogían uno y de cada diez un arcillo. Esto era que se dividía el pan sin cocer en tres partes; y la poyera, así se llamaban a estas señoras, se llevaba la tercera parte de otro pan. Al hornero se le daba un bollo; este ya cocido. La poyera juntaba todos los panes que le dábamos y lo juntaba todo en su canasta. Si etaban cinco poyeras y el hornero también cobraba de estos con la masa de todas, esta la dividía, hacía un panecico para cada uno, cinco poyeras y el hornero que casi siempre era el dueño del horno</span><br /><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Times New Roman; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">También  los dos hornos que siempre hubo fueron propiedad del Ayuntamiento, excepto el horno que hubo en casa del sindicato, o sea, del Tio Emeterio que lo hizo el Felipe. La gente no estaba acostumbrada a eso; y a los niños, recuerdo bien que mi  madre me hacía cernir toda la harina para el amasijo, y a mí aquello no me gustaba. El cernir no había luz de día y tenía un cndil de aceite. Esto era lo necesario en una casa: la artesa, masero de tela de lana, masera cuadrada de tela de algodón, blanca la caja, como una cestica de madera, en ella estaba una pequeña aceitera, la llave para cortar la masa, la pinta para hacer los panes muy hermosos. En un lado de la caja se ponía el salvado para echar en la pala y no se pegase en la pala en el otro lado harina; y  a veces ponías un frasquico con un poco de azúcar; y les hacías a los niños un bollico con azúcar y ya tenías merienda para los niños. Las autoridades pidieron permiso, las civiles y las eclesiásticas, ir a la ermita de Santa Lucía en rogativa, según le oí decir a mi querida tía Sor Soledad, que ella había ido. Las niñas vestidas de blanco con el cuello tendido ya que entonces las niñas llevaban moño. La inmensa mayoría fueron descalzos y con mucha devoción. Santa Lucía los escuchó, cuando llegaron a la mitad del camino de Molinos se dieron cuenta que se veían unas nubecicas y que iban creciendo. Cuando la imagen de Santa Lucía entró en la iglesia de Molinos, empezó a llover y lo hizo durante ocho días</span><br /><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Times New Roman; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Las autoridades, agradecidas, pensaron en hacer romerías todos los segundos domingos del mes de mayo, a la bella ermita de Santa Lucía</span><br /><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Times New Roman; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Recuerdo yo que se celebraba allí la fiesta; las autoridades civiles y religiosas comían en la ermita y los músicos  y la gente bien, allegada de los pueblos vecinos, solo los hombres, y hacían unas buenísimas comidas</span><br /><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Times New Roman; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Recuerdo que Ismael y Nieves hicieron la comida, y como vecinos nuestros fuimos a ayudarles, y una servidora fui a servir a los comensales. Creían que habría sido una imaginación. Al atardecer se presentó en la Cerrada; finca de mis suegros; con los que tenía mucha amistad. Y a mitad de la noche fueron a la iglesia con el fin de sumirse las sagradas formas, no las profanaran. Fueron Don José, mi suegro, o sea, José María y Paco mi marido, que éste era un niño. Creo fue la última vez que entró en la iglesia según me contó mi marido</span><br /><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Times New Roman; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">El amor que tenía a su profesión, lo hundió, pues ya tenían parte de los muebles embalados para irse a otra parroquia mejor que Molinos. Según yo oía era catedrático. Por no dejar a la deriva la parroquia permaneció en ésta hasta el final. Desorientado él mismo fue hacia sus enemigos. Lo cogieron en Alcorisa y cuando se dio cuenta de lo que le iban a hacer, levantó el brazo y exclamó con toda su fuerza “Viva Cristo Rey”. Estas fueron sus últimas palabras. Creo yo que sacó su rosario y con su breviario en la mano fue fusilado.
